So, where to start, I am currently sitting at the Lennart Meri Airport in Tallinn, alongside my brother and waiting for my second-ever flight. After going through the check-in, we are now sitting next to our gate for one hour and then the boarding should being. Of course, if another plane to Turkey, what has been delayed moves away.
The flight from Estonia to London Stansted Airport, will take around three hours, so if the plane isin’t delayed, I should arrive in England at 23:05 PM. From there, we will be heading to the Stansted Hilton hotel and just sleeping there for a few hours and then going to i40.
Stay tuned for more blogs from me!

So, another blog here from the Summer Assembly 2010 event at Helsinki, Finland. After a strong first day performance, the team qualified through their group in first spot to face Finnish side Power Gaming in the Semi-Final.
The Day started for me at getting up around 9 o’clock to do some morning work on the website, writing coverage for the second day and writing the blog for the first one. Obviously I was the first one to wake up, due to the players needing the sleep and rest. Around eleven people started waking up and getting ready to head on out to the event. After a quick shower, we started to head on out to the event to get some food and watch the Dignitas versus Broder Semi-Final.
After the game ended, we went outside to relax and just talk about tactics. Around 13.30 we were asked to get on stage to start setting up for our Semi-Final match-up versus Power. Before the game, we saw that the tables directions were in a very bad spot, allowing one of the Power players to see three of our players screens if he wanted. So just incase, I was put standing there on one spot without moving for a hour and thirty minutes, what gave a great chance to have a close look at how a Division 1 soldier (Coinz) plays on different maps. The match-up sadly ended with Power picking a hard-fought 2:1 victory and moving us to the third place decider.
Our third place match, was scheduled to start at 20:00 CET, what gave us a lot of free time. When the Dignitas and Power Gaming match started four of our players went to watch the game, while me, Byte and
numlocked stayed at the Cooler Master stand to eat and do some shootouts with our fans.
Our scheduled third-place decider match was postponed, due to a Counter-Strike 1.6 game being held on the stage. So after a 30-45 minute wait we were allowed on stage to start setting up and this time were put on the other side, what had a lot more room for our players. After a hard-fought win, we were able to grab the third spot by beating Broder 2-1 on maps.
After our game and two long days, we were invited to a sauna party to where Xman, Skinnie,
Springer and Zerox went to, while me, Byte,
numlocked and Coinz, decided grab some late lunch and head on to the hote

After only four hours of sleep, I had to get up at 5 am on Thursday to catch my ferry to Helsinki, Finland. So I got to the harbor at around 6.15-6.30 and went through the Check-In and started waiting to get onboard. My dad, brother and me had to wait for around 30-45 minutes, before they started letting people onboard, due to some Fins who slept in and hadn’t driven off the ferry.
So after a fairly good ferry ride, we arrived at Finland and started driving towards the hotel, what was like a 20 minute drive. So around 11.30, I met up with TCM-Gaming Team Fortress 2 players Skinnie and
Springer at our hotel. From there we straight went to the event and actually were able to get lost, we went to the wrong side of the Hartwall Arena and ended up walking around it to the other side to meet up with the other guys. I was only able to stay there for around five minutes, due to picking up Zerox from the airport.
After coming back from the airport, we went to the Hartwall Arena and I must say this being my first ever LAN event, it did look really nice, a lot of booths all-around, a lot of space for gamers and a very nice Main Stage for the games. So we went to the Cooler Master booth to have a chat, do some shootouts for the fans and take photographs.
Once the shootouts ended, we decided to head on over to a local bar, to just relax and loosen up before the games. After like 2 hours of sitting there, talking, breaking glasses and just having a laugh we went back to the arena for a Team Fortress 2 teams meeting.
A short time after the meeting ended, we went to the Main Stage to start setting up for our game against Scandinavian side broder on Granary. The match ended with us winning it 5-3 and opening our tally for the groupstage. After the match, we went to get pizza and just relax for 10 minutes as our second game was right up. Our second game against Finnish side Piggy Bankers ended in just under 10 minutes, with us taking a good 5-0 win. We were supposed to start setting up on the WCG stage straight away, but due to the Broder and Illegal game being delayed, we had to wait for it to be finished.
So after waiting for 30 minutes, we were allowed to get on stage to start setting up, only to find out that the tables were simply to small and our guys didn’t have enough room to play on them. After having a 10 minute conversation with the admins, we were allowed to move the tables foward a few centimeters in order to make some room for our guys. So on came the match versus Finnish side Illegal, who we beat 2-0 on Freight.
After the Illegal game ended, we started heading on back to the hotel for some Estonian beer and sleep time after a rough day. Stay tuned for a blog from Day 2!

Hey everyone. Got back home last night from Liverpool and wanted to blog about our trip.
Pre-LAN vs. Redemption :: 22.7-24.7
We wanted to get a good amount of LAN practice for ECL, so we decided to host a Pre-LAN vs. Redemption(SloQwer, Disqq, Mozelli & Mersu) before the 6-team LAN. It was definitely the last LAN I'll host in my apartment mainly because you can't be noisy, it's hard to fit 8 guys in an apartment and these Finnish pigs don't clean after making a mess. Had fun and managed to keep the noise down better than last time(neighbors didn't even complain!).
The score of the pre-LAN was 40+ - 10 to us. Got a nice warm-up LAN from it and we didn't take it too seriously. Thanks for Redemption for LANning us.
Sunday 25.7 :: Lift-off
Our plane left at 8:20 A.M which was pretty early, had to wake up at 5 and took a taxi to the airport at 6. It was the last time I'm taking the taxi to the airport, it was almost €40. Blackmail if you ask me. We met Puupaa(#1 Coach EU :P) at the airport and went to check-in. It didn't take too long and I was surprised that they didn't say anything about the xboxes in the security check.
Got to the plane early, but we couldn't get any sleep on the plane thou, so we were really tired when we arrived. Btw, it was Iso J's first time in an airplane(and first time abroad). Without ECL he would have never left the comfy woods of Rauma.
We arrived at Manchester Airport 9:00 local time and took a taxi to our hotel, which was Abbey hotel. The hotel was nice but the area it was in was not so nice. Even heard 5 gunshots and some explosions one night. The hotel staff was really nice and they even offered us free beers when we waited for our room. One guy asked why we are here and when we explained he told that he was a CS fanatic and was playing in a clan at some point. He said that no need to be embarrassed of our gaming sport, it's cool. "It won't get you girls thou". Sick guy.
Chilled at the hotel for an hour and started to walk towards some shopping centre. Puupaa spotted KFC there and
Robba almost started running towards it. First time in a KFC for the black man. :)
6-team LAN :: 26.7-29.7
Forgot to take the address of the gamerbase so we couldn't take a cab to there. After standing in front of our hotel for 15 minutes wondering what to do, we decided to take the metro to the city centre. I saw a HMV there and said that let's go check it out, since I remember it had something to do with gamerbase. Didn't even know it's inside of HMV, hah.
We didn't even find the right place when we got there, so we went outside for a moment. When we got back we finally found the right place. Only Phenomenom was there at the time. We went to eat and came back to game.
They won the first series 7-3(one tie), got off to a shaky start, but the second series went better, it was 7-4 or 6-5, can't remember. All the other teams had arrived after it(except vital). Adversity asked us to play after we had been playing for 3 hours straight, they won us quite easily 10-1.
The bashing at this point in the JTV chat, holy shit. "TCM Sucks, warriors won't even get top 10" etc etc. Proved those haters wrong. Went to the hotel to get some rest, we were bit down on ourselves at this point, but we thought "we are better than this".
Went there quite late on Tuesday, had almost 10 hours of sleep. We played Dignitas first, they got to huge 5-0 lead. I remember thinking, we need to win at least couple of games. And we won the whole series. After that we played adversity again, which we won 4-3 or something like that.
Wednesday we played fnatic first if I remember correctly. They won 8-3, some games were really close and some not. We played adversity again and they beat us again 10-1. Bashing in the chat started once again. After that series we won vital 4-1 and then we had to leave because the place closed at 8 pm.
Next day we arrived early because we had to leave early to check-in for our Liverpool apartment. We only played vital that day, which we beat 10-1. We took the metro to the train station(we could have walked, but some lazy asses don't like walking ;). Took the train to Liverpool and went to get our apartment keys. The manager who handled the desk was probably the hottest manager in the world. Went to the apartment, which was in city centre. The apartment was sick, definitely better than hotel.
Went to the local store to buy some pizzas and a 3 litre can of coke for Iso J. Puupaa also bought two large bags of Doritos, mmmmm. We practically lived of BK, McDonalds and KFC there, never doing that again.
European Console League :: 30.7-1.8
Friday
Went to the venue before 12 pm and met the sick guys from fnatic and some other peeps as well. We waited like 30 minutes to get inside the venue and another 30 minutes to get downstairs. Also we met our second biggest fan Backup once again.
Had to wait at least 4 hours to get our tickets and our stuff to get PAT tested. When we got inside I had the biggest headache and hunger ever. FFA's started almost instantly so I didn't had time to get something to eat. Played some horrendous Halo that day, glad we didn't play any 4v4 games, lol. Finished 8th in round 1 and got outplaced by Reaction's bird. It was epic to say at least.

Saturday
Went to the venue early in the morning but we had to wait a long time for our first game. We scrimmed How many pre-LANs? in the BYOC, won them 5-0 or so. Our first 4v4 tournament game was against Market Gardeners. The funny thing is, that I was the most nervous in this match than any other game, haha. Won them quite easily 2-0 and
Procis got maybe the sickest overkill in ECL. Shame he didn't had his hard drive.
Our second game was against Katrina.FR which we won 3-0, Renox didn't fulfill his promise to beat us. ;)
Afterward we got asked if we wanted to play the game vs. Phenomenom in the main-stage, hell yes we wanted that. At this point we still played with mixamps which were put wrong. We could hear the back noise from each mic(Baxter fixed this before the PwR match, mr MacGyver himself).
It was a good feeling to play in the main stage, much quieter there. Zankioh got interviewed before the match and he got asked what's the result gonna be and he responded: 3-0 to us. Also Sinder showed the camera some easy button or w/e.

The guys doing work
First game was Onslaught CTF, we got to nice lead at the beginning(3-0) but they started to catch us and I think they tied at one point. I couldn't hear all callouts because of our wrongly put mixamps but we still managed to win it 5-3. Next was TCM's gametype: Con TS. We kept the top control and won it 50-42. Remember getting a sick out BR in it too.
Last was Guardian Oddball, mX seemed really depressed and they just kept jumping to the middle of the map without any sense. Won it quite comfortably and finished the game 3-0 to us. Felt good to beat them since they have such a big ego. But they're all sick guys and players and hopefully they do better next time.
Final moments of mX vs. TCM. Weird stuff happening for my part.
It was almost 22:30 when we got informed that we can go back to our hotel and that our game against Power is in the morning. We were walking to the escalators until someone came to say that we have to play now. After a 10 minute fuss we went to the station to warm up and wait for 2 PwR members who already had went back to their hotel.
We didn't really have energy left at this point + Power being much better than us, so we got 3-0'd pretty easily. Narrows Flag was a good game thou, they won it 3-2. The loss didn't disappointed us at all, after all we lost to the best team.
Got back to the apartment at 1 AM, we all were very tired at this point.

Watching the Finals
Sunday
Went to the event 9:30 and went to the main-stage where the WB-Finals where about to begin. Then we got almost instantly called to play Dignitas at station 2. We were really confident going into the match.
First gametype was Pit CTF, which they won 3-1. Next one was Nar TS, which was really intense and a tight game, we won 50-46 or so. Then we played Guardian Oddball which we won 250-178.
Last was Heretic CTF which we won 5-2 to win the match 3-1 to us. Felt good to secure that top 4 spot but we were hoping to get even a better placing.
Then we played LLL for Top 3. First game was Nar CTF which we won 3-0 easily. I also out-BR'd Shinato while being one shot that game. Next up was Pit TS which was one of the gametypes alongside Con KotH which we played very poorly at the event. Then the infamous Onslaught CTF. They were leading 4-1 and 3 minutes left of the game while the LLL chant started(ref started this?) and then the TCM chant which was too times louder, lol. Couldn't hear anything in-game while the chants were shouted. Infern0s got the LLL chant to stop so they could focus better. I think we tied the game at this point. The feeling when I was running the final flag and when we won couldn't be described with words, you had to be there to experience it.
Decider was Amplified TS, which I think was one of LLL's best(at least they beat fnatic at it), we had a good start but at the end they got the control and some crucial respawn kills. They won it 50-45. Congrats to LLL proving everyone wrong and showing they are still one of the best teams in Europe.
Honestly we were a bit disappointed on our loss, we really wanted that 3rd spot and we all needed those mixamps, but we still played very good for our first event and proved 90% of the community wrong.
Looking forward to EGE and Reach after it. You will see a new improved TCM there.
Some shoutouts:
TCM-Gaming & it's sponsors: CoolerMaster, Mad Catz, CM Storm, Cyborg Gaming, Multiplay, GamersUniform, PowerDrive Computers. Bouncer4You & Meron Court
Jim & Mike: Thanks for everything you did for us. Your support brought us confidence.
fnatic: All really sound guys and even better players, shame that Jack was too drunk to call us Sunday. Rain check for AMSTERDAM! Riotz is a giant!
adv: Sick guys right here also, shame you had to play your games at ridiculous times, you definitely deserved a better placing. Dale's eyebrows are legendary!
vital: The Svenska pojken! Really nice guys and Hurricane's hair is too crazy! Hopefully I'll see you guys at the next event.
Heavenswrath: You had the sickest commentary I have ever heard. Professional, funny and original at the same time. The sickest man.
Ch4bi: Really appreciated the support of the number 1 TCM Fan, hopefully we will see our bodyguard at some event. Can't wait to meet the biggest than in Hungary!
The people who made ECL happen
Backup: Was nice to see another Finn attend. Really appreciated your support and it was nice to have you around watching our games. We will see you at EGE!
Puupaa: Was nice having you as our coach and being with us in our trip. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did. It really helped our game having you with us.
& All the people who chanted us vs LLL Game 4 and our supporters.

The day started very early as we woke up at 6.30am, just in time to grab a shower, some breakfast and head down to the event ready for our game at 8.00am this morning. We knew that where ever we finished in our group yesterday we were in for facing a top 5 seeded team, but just unlucky I guess…
Playoffs vs. NCC-Esports
woken sporting his Cyborg Keyboard (V1) as he plays vs. NCC[/img]
Our first game was against NCC-Esports, a local team that had been in good form throughout the group stages of the tournament. The match started off evenly as we both exchanged rounds, before NCC took a small lead moving into the second half. Moving towards the end of the game the action did not cease as both ourselves and the NCC side went toe to toe before our guys finally gained a 3 point lead at 12-9.
The match looked pretty much over until the NCC fight back ensued, a tense couple of rounds resulted in the Belgian side reducing the 3 point deficit down to just 1, and an opportunity to take the game into overtime. Fortunately the lads were able to keep their composure and secure the final round, winning the game 13-11 and moving on to face a very strong Power Gaming side.
Playoffs vs. Power Gaming
The game versus Power started almost ideally with sone very fast rounds as we secured a 6-2 lead before Power called a timeout due to paradox having some mouse trouble. To show good sportsmanship we also used our timeout and delayed some more to help the PwR guys sort out their problems. I honestly think that this worked completely in their favour as we lost all momentum and continued to lose all the following rounds after the restart, losing our map (Citystreets) in the end by a score of 13-9.
Moving onto Power Gaming’s map, we were not looking forward to it as we knew how strong they are on a map which isn’t overly liked by most teams in the scene, Crossfire. After starting pretty evenly, PwR started to take a convincing lead as they showed exactly why this is their strongest map. Power Gaming won Crossfire 13-6 and the match 2-0.
Event Reflection
Overall, I was very impressed with this, the first Gamevibes-ran tournament that I have attended. I personally thought that the Gamevibes staff were excellent in both their handling of technical issues to the running of the tournament in general. They ensured that not only did we usually run on time, but also ahead of schedule for the most part.
Although disappointed with the result, a good weekend nonetheless and a perfect opportunity for us to showcase some of the new Cyborg gear. I sit here, in the large Screen room which caters 2 huge screens and the final stage, wondering “what if?”. What if we had not been so unlucky with the bracket? Well, as I have always said to the teams, if you want to be the best then you have to beat everyone – unfortunately we weren’t strong enough to advance past Power on this occasion.

After some more extensive travelling I arrived at the hotel and met up with the lads. Our games don’t kick off until tomorrow at around 17:00 (providing there is no delay), we headed down to the venue which was around a 20 minute walk in very hot weather.
The event itself is what looks like a huge warehouse on the outside, overlooking a stunning view at the waterfront. Inside the event is looks very professional with multiple large screens for spectators, a bar and a much appreciated press room.
Today has been very casual since our games do not start until tomorrow. This gave the guys the chance to explore Antwerp and the surrounding area, before heading back to the hotel later to get some rest before tomorrow.
Tomorow will bring alot more in terms of content and media, until then, Good night.

At the time of writing this I am sitting on the train heading towards Antwerp, so now is better time than ever to start my AEF blog.
It hasn’t been the greatest start to an offline event, as I found out yesterday that the company we had booked the hotel through has actually cancelled all the bookings made by customers, not paid any of the hotels and gone into liquidation.
After “sorting” this out for the COD4 guys (who had already arrived at the hotel) from my check-in queue at Edinburgh Airport, I was finally able to board my delayed flight. Things didn’t really pickup from there as the flight was probably the worst I have ever been on. What seemed like several screaming babies, huge amounts of unexpected turbulence and officially the smallest amount of leg space I’ve seen it felt like my head was going to explode after travelling since 0700.
Day 1 blog coming soon.

So here is a “little” blog about my time in Split, I’d like to point out to readers I was there in a capacity for both TCM-Gaming and Vita Nova, of course managing TCM-Gaming CoD4 team and for Vita Nova in a consultation capacity for the running of the CoD4 competition. Enjoy…
Friday…
Setting off for LAN at 5am is never usually an exciting prospect, however leaving my friends near Luton Airport to catch my 6am flight saw me with some pretty high hopes of this LAN. Even without having slept the night before and starting to get somewhat tired already!
Upon arrival at the airport I quickly preceded to one of the many currency exchange counters to get my hands on some Kuna. It instantly made me think of surfing and the big kahuna burger from pulp fiction! After getting my hands on some of the green stuff I made my way to the check in desk, spying upon my way a certain Team Dignitas CoD4 team! After some fast hellos I waited in line to put my bag in. We boarded the plane at about quarter to 6 and then took off to the sunnier climes of Split, Croatia! I had a nice, but very tired and amusing conversation with Zaccubus the entire way there. I’m not sure that either of us remembers much of it, due to neither of us sleeping the night before setting off!
We arrived at Split airport 10:05 local time where we had to wait 45 minutes to get through the tiny airports passport control. I was being picked up by some of the LAN organisers, but I wasn’t entirely sure what any of them looked like – luckily for me they were also picking up fnaticMSI.Zenith so I instantly recognised him. It took about 40 minutes to get from the airport to where Zenith was staying with the rest of fnatic. I stayed in the car and then made the short journey to the LAN venue.
I can only describe the location as one of the best for a LAN I’ve ever seen. A mere 50 metres from the sea and about 100m from the beach, with a whole host of bars and restaurants beside the venue and I was starting to feel pretty good about the whole thing.
That was until I walked into the actual venue, I can only describe it as a concrete clad prison, which wasn’t all bad to be fair as the venue isn’t the only thing to make a LAN what it is. I was later told that it used to be an aquarium. This aquarium, unfortunately for the players, had little to no windows and without installed air-con essentially zero ventilation.
At this point I haven’t mentioned the fact it’s pretty hot in Split, about 39 degrees centigrade, with temperatures set to get as high as 45 degrees over the weekend! So this had me somewhat worried about how the players and PC’s would handle the inevitable heat build-up inside the venue…
I had a little look around inside the venue at the PC set up, admin area, desks, spectators area and entrance hall. Deciding that all in all they had a pretty good set up going – the 60inch TV and projector for the spectators being a big plus – although knowing there would be no casting was a little disappointing.
I then found out that they didn’t have any internet at the venue, something I was really hoping they would have as I wanted NGTV.uk to be able to get onto the servers and cast some games! I also knew this would make it somewhat difficult to get score updates out of the event – as I’m sure most of you noticed!
After checking out the venue it was about 11am and I went outside to see who was about, almost instantly running into an old friend from the CSS scene, from my time in infused, Raii. We had a little catch up and then got talking about the event – I discovered that the CSS was scheduled to start at 9am however due to a host of reasons, most worryingly at the time network problems but also including that the organisers hadn’t got the PC’s until 12 hours before the event start and some power outages.
Raii told me that they couldn’t start as it was because only 40 of the 80 PC’s they had set up could get power, even with that they kept having power outages and the network could only support 20 PC’s on the servers at once. Someone from the CSS scene had managed to fix the network issues by about 3pm and the organisers called the 8 CSS teams in to try and play their games. On Saturday I was later told this lasted until about 1am when teams decided to walk out of the event – an admin at this point told the CSS players that they could get their entrance fee back if they cancelled the tournament. That’s what ended up happening.
Due to them not having enough PC’s ready on the first day the organisers had also decided to postpone the cod2 tournament until Saturday, which was meant to run half on Friday and the other half on the Saturday. This had a knock on effect on CoD4 too as they also decided to move CoD4 to only Sunday, which was like cod2 meant to be spread over two days, starting on the Saturday. Something of a hindrance as we had planned to use a new format for running the tournament – 1st group stage BO1, top 4 teams go through to 2nd group stage BO3, top 2 teams go through to BO3 knock out phase, semi –finals, finals and 3rd/4th place playoff. Subsequently we simply didn’t have time for this format and had to change to 1 group stage with BO1 quarter finals and BO3 for the rest of the tournament.
After speaking to raii for an hour or so kyochii and Zenith turned up at the venue – we decided to spend the rest of the day on the beach. After chilling out for a while and having a little swim and seeing a few more teams around and about I headed back to the fnatic apartment over in the old town of Split. It’s a really beautiful part of the city. With its origins in the ancient Roman Empire there is some incredible architecture to be seen. The guys had offered me to stay with them over the weekend, as I was meant to be staying with one of the organisers of the event, but I couldn’t refuse staying with some of my good friends from esports.
The guys had told me about a brilliant restaurant they had found just round the corner from their apartment called “La Monde”. They had been there for a couple of days already and had been told by the owner of the apartment this place was good so I agreed to go there for dinner – and it certainly was good, the food was lovely, service was quick and it was great value! Zenith, Kyochii and I went to eat as linqan, odyx and stevy had already done so, we spoke about all sorts really but mainly focused on Vita Nova and some of the upcoming projects I have planned for it.
It was about 10pm when we had finished and still boiling hot so I was glad to get back to the air-conditioned apartment! We all had a chat for a while and then started to watch the film Gamer, somewhat of a fitting film, while we went to sleep.
Saturday…
Saturday was somewhat of a chill out day, we got up at 11am and went down the road to a supermarket to get some bread and juice. By 2pm Zenith, Kyochii, odyx and I left the other two to head to the beach by the venue. I popped inside to have a chat to the organisers and see how the CoD2 was going, they were getting along fine and had started the play off phase. I also picked up a message from the TCM guys to give them a ring, unfortunately for some reason my mobile phone wasn’t working in Croatia, and the number they had left me also didn’t work! I managed to get in contact with them when Vazy turned up with his father at the venue.
After speaking to the organisers we were just heading off to have a swim when Velvet turned up – Velvet is the Vita Nova national representative for Poland and also the man that was to be the head Vita Nova admin of the CoD4 event. He decided to join us for the rest of the day, we quickly found somewhere to rent a pedalo for an hour, and set off out to sea with the sun beaming down!
That evening saw me and Velvet meet up with the rest of the CoD4 squad, we walked into the old city and found a Pizzeria to have dinner at. We all spoke about CoD4 and the summer LANs, while I enjoyed a pizza with Rocket on top. The food was again lovely and didn’t break the bank, about 4 quid for a stone baked Italian style pizza! After settling up the TCM lads went back to their apartment and I headed off to bed in preparation for what I knew would be a long day ahead.
Sunday…
Tournament day had arrived, waking up at 8am we quickly had breakfast and caught a cab to the venue to arrive for about half 9. Upon arrival I had a quick chat with Velvet to go over proceedings for the day and who was going to be playing when and at what time. We started off with trying to sit down all the teams in group A to play that through and have 2 teams from group B playing on the remaining 10 PC’s. After we were meant to start at 10am games finally got underway at about 11:30am. This is where we started to hit some pretty big delays, the power went down twice while we were playing group stage games, the power grid they had set up simply couldn’t cope with the demands of running 40 high end PC’s.
Meanwhile TCM CoD4 were having a tricky time in the groups, First up were Team Paranoia a Croatian team the lads had recently played online, they mentioned to me before the match they were good and we certainly saw some nice skills from the opposition while playing on crash. A map that Paranoia recently beat H2k on, which is no mean feat considering H2k’s dominance on the map over recent months. The match ended up a draw at 12-12 and understandably the guys were disappointed with the result as they all know they are better than that. Second we were up against the local Croatian team of Xeqte on Crossfire the lads had a shaky start but managed to win the game 13-8. The final two games of the group stage were against Mondial Servers and Team Dignitas. Mondial Servers had clearly anti-strated the lads and played a really good game on crash to win 13-3. They faced Team Dignitas on Citystreets a map that the guys feel as one of their strongest however they weren’t strong enough on the day losing 13-7.
By the time the TCM guys had finished their group games, we as admins had had another 10 PC’s die on us meaning we could only use 30 PC’s for the rest of the tournament. Not something that would be a major problem but it did certainly slow down the schedule a little bit. We were onto the quarter finals and realistically having 40 PC’s meant we could have run the knockout phase a little quicker, the games got underway none the less with Rage Gaming taking on Mondial Servers, which Rage went on to win, Team Dignitas facing the team from Gamersject ending in with an easy win for Team Dignitas over the one map. Fnatic had an easy time against Paranoia as they had to leave early due to work commitments the next day. TCM meanwhile were facing off against the Italians of Airborne, this ended up being a pretty good win for the lads at 13-8 and certainly restored a lot of confidence to the guys after their tricky group stage.
The semi-finals saw the tournament move into the preferred method of playing matches, that of Best of 3 maps. Fnatic were up against the Dutch side of Rage Gaming they had a fairly quick match where fnatic took the win two maps to zero, 13-5 on strike and 13-6 on Backlot, meaning they progressed to yet another LAN final! TCM-Gaming met up with their old foe from the groups Team Dignitas, it was a hard fought match with the scores ending strike 13-11 in favour of TCM and Dignitas winning the next two District and Crash 13-4 and 13-9 respectively. Team Dignitas were looking strong which they later proved beating fnatic in the final, the first time fnatic have lost a final in over a year!
So the CoD4 competition was over and after 15 hours inside in about 50 odd degrees Celsius I was pretty glad. After saying my goodbyes to the TCM lads myself and Velvet went for a well-deserved swim the water by this time of night, about 1am, was pretty freezing though! After our swim we headed off to the fnatic apartment to sleep for a couple of hours before getting up to go to the airport. I ended up getting home at 5pm on Monday after my flight was delayed for a couple of hours.
So overall mixed feelings about the LAN, I’m disappointed at the infrastructure that Gamersject had in place at the venue, the location however was amazing and some of the matches were brilliant. Lots of things for the Gamersject team to work on for future events. Never the less I highly recommend Split as a holiday location. I hope you enjoyed reading about my weekend, that is if you got this far and didn’t just TL:DR :p

Antoine, Léo, Mathieu and myself met in Paris to go to vazy’s place near Strasbourg 2 days before the LAN so we could sleep there, wake up early and drive all day to Croatia. We left vazy’s place at around 5:30 am and arrived at the Croatian border at around 6 pm.
There we got stopped by the customs who checked our passports/id cards. Unfortunately, my id card was out of date (for only 13 days) and I didn’t have my passport, so the friendly customs guy gently asked me to step out the car in fluent English. I ended up in the custom office signing some stupid customs documents. He told me that we should go back to Trieste (Italy) to the French embassy to get an emergency passport. Of course he didn’t have the phone number of the embassy, so we drove anyway only to realize that the embassy employees were probably sipping some cocktails on the beach, and that anyway they wouldn’t deliver any emergency passports (probably because they have 1000 requests a day).
We bought a map and decided to try to cross the border at another point, hoping that on a small road there would be no customs employee. Actually, there was one, he got out of his hut to check what the hell was going on (he probably didn’t see a car for days). We quickly turned around to think of another plan. After talking to
Xman on the phone, we finally decided to try one last time before giving up. We went to another border checkpoint and this time the custom employee didn’t even take a look at my id, since he was probably too busy making silly jokes to his colleague . At that time I didn’t know if I had to be happy or sad, since I got ourselves stuck for 3 or 4 hours driving back and forth to the border.
We finally arrived at Split at 2 am, you do the maths. Not knowing when the LAN started the next day, we woke up at 7:30 am to go check on site. After a quick search, we found a bunker just in front of the beach, I asked inside if it was Gamersject’s venue, and I started talking to one of the admins. After quickly checking the venue, and hearing about the problems they had to set up etc. and that the COD4 tournament was supposed to happen the next day, I quickly felt the urge to slit my wrists. We went back to the hotel to get some sleep, and then we went out to get something to eat with
Morg and an admin. We then went to the bar in front of the hammam (aka the venue), to get some drinks etc. The rest of the night isn’t worth mentioning, except that Croatian girls are indeed pretty damn fit.
Next day, we went to the hammam at 10 am and we ended up playing at 5 pm. I chilled with Léo in the Adriatic sea (really salty) while others were waiting at the bar and while the admins were trying to fix the power issues etc.
The first match against PARANOIA was just great, my mouse died on the 9th round and I had to play the rest of the tournament with other mice. The urge to grab a razor was stronger than ever. The match ended on the amazing score of 12-12. We went into the next match against Xeqte and won 13-9. We then played MS, who were keen enough to anti strat us and we lost 3-13. Sarcasm aside, they clearly played better than us on that match so thumbs up to them. We then played dignitas, who were just better on citystreets than us. We lost 7-13.
We ended up 3rd of our group and we had to face Airborn for the quarter finals. Thanks to George who wanted to go to the beach asap, we won with the comfortable score of 13-8.
We finally faced dignitas once again and lost the bo3 match 1-2. After winning strike, we went on citystreets once again but we were unable to find what we could do to take it this time. Decider map was crash, and even though we didn’t play terrible this time, they still took it home.
The decider match vs Rage isn’t worth commenting, we clearly didn’t play like we can do and we lost.
After this final blow, I couldn’t take it anymore and the emoness took over, I instantly started packing and walked to get back to the hotel to get a shower after sweating for 13 hours. We went to bed and we woke up the next morning for another 13 hours drive. On the way back, the Slovenian highway patrol decided we didn’t have enough for the weekend and decided to give us a nice 150€ fine for not buying their vignette needed to cross their superb country. We slept again at Marc’s house and then we took the train back to Paris this morning, and here I am again, minus 2 kilos.
I would like to thank Marc’s dad (Jean Claude) for driving us there and for keeping his cool when I personally would have had lost it about 20 times, thumbs up to him.
Now we will focus on AEF, we’ll try and work to do better there, we won’t have any excuses this time.

The journey to France has just started, a couple of hours ago. Me and gem are currently travelling to Oslo where we will be staying over at a hotel, because our flight leaves dead early on Friday morning. We're not complaining, because hudz/helblinde/jimmy + the management have to drive from england!
Aka jIMMy and Helblinde needs to fly to england first. Haha. The plan is to arrive in La'Rochelle friday morning (me and gem) and then we're getting picked up by the LAN79 admins at the airport. Quality service!
Guess we're going to hang out at the event until our dear teammates arrives later on the day, so we can get back to the hotel and chill out abit before the groupstages thats in the evening on Friday. We'll try to keep you guys updated with videos, blogs and newsposts on this website - so stay tuned!

After a long night of practice and packing everything, I (tried!) to go to sleep at around 03:00. After trying to fall asleep for about an hour, I gave up and went back to my PC to check that I had everything sorted for the trip. Im always nervous about forgetting something, and this time were no different. After all that planning and time spent on packing, I still managed to forget my glasses – so it will be fun finding everything at Heathrow Airport, as Ive never been there.
My journey started today at 08:30CET, and I wont be in England before 18:00GMT (aka 19:00CET), so as you can imagine its quite a boring trip to take alone. Sitting around for hours thinking about the event, the teams that are attending and how it will be for our team to play matches from the Madcatz booth. I think we will manage to do fine, but there are a few maps we’re not feeling fully confident on, so what map we meet FM!Toxic on can pretty much tip the balance of whos going to win. But after seeing some of the individuals in the team grow (skillwise) lately Im certain that we’re going to win this event. To be fair this isnt a very high profiled event, tournamentwise, but it would still be huge for us to win it – considering its our first event together as a team and FM!Toxic having some big players in their team.
Im now sitting at Oslo Gardermoen, the airport in Norway that my flight is leaving from. Im coming in one day before the rest of the scandinavians, and I will be sleeping over at a hotel in Heathrow till tomorrow – when TCM.Byte is coming to pick me up, dead early, for the event.Im looking forward meeting James and Eamon as I’ve never seen them, and also to meet the guys behind the TCM brand.
Depending on our schedule (games/PR stuff for Madcatz) I will try to write some more entries on this blog, to keep you all updated. On Monday (5th) I wont be travelling home to Norway – I will be working for Heaven Media at The Gadget Show, so im sure I will get some more time to blog after i39.
Thanks to our sponsors and TCM-Gaming for making this event possible for us.
Wish us good luck!

I hosted a boot-camp LAN at my place in Helsinki at 26.3-1.3. Participants were TCM.H3: ZaoC, Iso J,
Robba & Procis, Total Wipeout: Systematic, TeakHellix, pekitor & Backup and *no team name yet*: Mozelli, Mersu, NaZu + (Muse).
Thursday + Friday
Iso J, Robba, Teak and Syste arrived already on Thursday, so we played some 2v2's and couple of games in matchmaking. Everyone else arrived on Friday and I had to pick them up, so we didn't play as much games as other days.
After midnight
Robba went to change some ethernet-cables in the router and after that the internet didn't work at all, everyone blamed him, but the real reason was that they cut the internet early to get my new connection to work, which came today. 8/1 -> 110/5.
Got much more games played because of there were no internet, so no harm was done.
Also we watched the ice hockey semi-finals Finland vs. USA. Finland got their ass kicked, but it was a funny watch nonetheless.
Sleeping space was limited so 2 guys ended up sleeping in chairs and other 2 in the floor. :D
Saturday
Somebody waked up everyone at 12 pm with only couple of hours of sleep in the pocket. Off to the store to buy some caffeine and food. Played a lot of games on Saturday. Stayed really late to watch the ice hockey bronze game. Went to the kebab house at 4.30 A.M, was a really funny trip.
Sunday
Slept till 3 P.M and started playing immediately because Teak, Syste and Mersu had to leave in the evening.
Iso J got a pretty sick overkill with snipe, maybe you will see it in H3Feu Top 10. :)
At the 3 A.M Iso also got the most ugliest killtacular with the sword ever. After that the neighbors came to complain about the noise, so we had to stop playing. Watched a movie and went to sleep but some monkeys played 2v2's to 8 A.M.
Monday
Didn't really get to play on Monday because had to pack/clean, or I cleaned and the others just were lazy.
Overall, it was a good LAN. Had a blast and learned a lot from the LAN. Going to host 1 or 2 more at my vacation home. Hoping to get there 3 other teams.
Scores from the LAN:
Overall: Around 80-0+
TCM.H3 - Total WipeOut: 41-0
TCM.H3 - *No name*: 20-0
TCM.H3 - Mix teams: 20-0
Robba got a decent amount clips for our dualtage(hopefully coming in spring). Going to get some gameplays captured as well.
Some pics from the LAN:
Total Wipeout:

No name + Muse

No name vs. TwO + Setup

Procis vs.
Robba on Octagon.
Robba won.

Here we go guys my blog!
Because I am so bored today I am going to write a blog about how I started my Gaming carrier here we go :
May 2001
I started to play Counterstrike Source with some friends after playing for 2 years and become good but just not good enough for the teams that I've known in my country I started to learn more about who and what is behind those professional gaming organizations first what I did was looking what kind of jobs where there in a organization I got in contact with some jobs like PR , Marketing , Content , etc but because I was still young and didn't got any experience I tried to do everything on my own and learn how to become a succesfull manager . What I did was looking on websites and checking what role could I take in a organization then after 6 months of hard work on my own I found what was really something for me Marketing as a young guy it was hard for me to get into a professional gaming organization and show my possibilities.
June 2003
After I came in contact with Cyber Sports Armageddon on my 14th believe it or not I found some great partners for them and it seems that it really was working out for me and Marketing then internal problems where found at CSA and the organization closed but I didn't stoped at all my next job
October 2005
I found with H2k Gaming who was on that point on a very professional level and I got a chance to prove myself and I got succes! But it wasn't always sunshine in H2K problems where there managers where leaving and the CEO didn't had the time for his organization so the end was near also for me .
September 2006
I got in contact with Paul 'Ovi' Monks who was my boss in CSA they where invited to join the top organization in 2006-2007 named Four Kings I had a lot of work there and got some great deals for them but I didn't had the chance to sign a contract with a company because I wasn't still 18 but I let Paul take care of that and went looking for some new possible sponsors for example Titan Poker , Intel , Razer , OCZ , Giga
byte , etc etc. After 2 years of hard work for the marketing departement from Four Kings Paul sad that he didn't want to stay there I didn't ask any questions why but I just left because I was working with him for a long time.
A Break
I stopped Managing for 8 months
November 2007
I got in contact with Birger the CEO from LowLandLions he offerd me a job as a General manager and also a Counterstrike Source manager it was new for me I didn't got any experience in that part but I didn't gave up and tried to do my best! I liked working for LowLandLions and got many respect for Birger and we still talk to each other when the time is there but I needed to leave LowLandLions for my real life job I couldn't do the both I didn't had the time to do all of that work . So after a few months of running arround I made my move back to the esports and
September 2009
joined up with MeetYourMakers first everything looked very good but after some conversations with 1 of the managers it wasn't a feeling that I needed to have to feel at home and to get good results so my time in MYM was very short but I was happy to leave .
January 2009-2010
Started to work for ZOWIE as a Benelux Community Manager and true that I came in contact with Neil who is a very great guy and I got many respect for him and he gave me a hint because he knew I was looking for a new job and I tought to Fnatic but no spots where open but he spoke to me about TCM so after a few conversations with him and with Craig I asked Craig if I could join with TCM:)
